Pediatric PittNet
Pediatric PittNet is a practice-based research network that supports collaboration between pediatric primary care practices and University of Pittsburgh researchers to improve the health of children. Pediatric PittNet facilitates the translation of pediatric research discoveries into practice.
Current Studies
Our list of active studies is always evolving. Check out the latest set of studies currently recruiting through our network.
Families
Pediatric PittNet works with your child’s doctors to improve the health of our region’s children. To do this, we bring together doctors from practices like Children’s Community Pediatrics and Children’s Hospital to work with faculty in the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, School of Nursing, and Graduate School of Public Health. Together, this network is dedicated to discovering new ways to improve the health and wellness of our children through research. Their research covers both behavioral conditions like autism, depression, and ADHD and physical conditions like ear infections and sinusitis. This then helps doctors learn more about how these issues affect our children and how best to prevent, diagnose, and treat them.

Providers

As the research clearinghouse for Children’s Community Pediatrics, Pediatric PittNet strives to make it as efficient and possible for your practice to connect interested providers, staff, and families to research opportunities. PittNet’s Executive Committee, including several CCP providers, carefully reviews all studies seeking to conduct research in practices for relevance and feasibility. If a research study approaches you or your practice directly, please don’t hesitate to connect them to us!

Researchers
As an investigator participating in the Pediatric PittNet network, you can take advantage of the many services that Pediatric PittNet offers to recruit participants. Please note that Pediatric PittNet requires prospective investigators seeking to conduct any research in network practices to apply and receive approval from Pediatric PittNet prior to contacting member practices or engaging in research activities.
